The hotel staff are outstanding! They greet you with smiles from the moment you arrive. The hotel and hotel rooms are very clean. The breakfast was very good, we were even served omelettes! :)
We found the bed and pillows to be to firm for our liking. It was uncomfortable for us. The rooms are a little on the small side, but it works as you generally don't spend too much time in your room.
Great location. Close to public transport and the sights. The hotel was on a quiet street. The staff was helpful and very polite.
The room was quite small and dark. An extra light close to the toilet mirror would be helpful. The breakfast was ok. Freshly squeezed orange juice would be a lot better than the one they are serving now. Alot of channels on TV (close to 300) but just one in english.
The thing that has impressed us most about our stay in Hotel Efendi was the incredible friendly and helpful staff. This and the clean rooms, great breakfast and good location make me recommend Hotel Efendi to anyone looking for a wonderful time in Istanbul.
The staff is very kind and helpful. Thank you for the surprise cake on my birthday :) I loved the room and the location as well!
The rooms while small were nicely furnished & staff was polite & helpful
I booked three Standard double rooms, single use; Room 301 is a single room, single use; One of my colleagues had to stay in that room which hardly fitted a single bed & lacked a wardrobe; when I complaint, the hotel staff told me that it was an agreement betweek Booked.net & them; they stated that their contract allows them to sell that room as Standard double room; I find this difficult to believe; as a customer I felt misled Also acoustics between rooms is very poor
Location, location,location Staff Great value
Clean and nice room, very friendly staff and a good breakfast
Friendly and fully helpful staff. Nice room. Good location 5 mins to hagia sofia. 2 mins to sultanahmed tram station.
The hotel is in a quiet location in a sidestreet three minutes away from the Sultanahmet tram stop (regular trams to the Grand Bazaar, Eminönu, Galata and Dolmabahce palace) as well as five minutes away on foot from Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque and the Hipodrome. Topkapi palace is also a minute walk from the hotel. The rooms are clean and tidy - everything in the rooms and ensuite bathrooms is new as the hotel was opened a few months ago. The staff is very friendly and very willing to help guests make the best of their stay at the hotel and in the city. Breakfast in the hotel courtyard is also varied, with a wide choice for every taste. We will definitely stay at this hotel again when we come to Istanbul - and will recommend this great hotel to anybody who would like to travel to Istanbul.
Very nice hotel in old town district - only few minutes from Haga Sofia or Blue Mosque. Very helpful staff - can organize you a transport to and from airport at reasonable price (only 5 Euro more than normal taxi). Sat tv (Over 700 channels). Really good price/quality ratio. There were no problems with leaving luggage at the last day after check out - our flight was in the evening, so we could do sight seeing without bothering about our bags.
Breakfast were good but could be a little more diverse. Although it is located in city center it is hard to find.
staffs were really cool and helpful. everything was perfect
I couldn't see any negative side.
The staff was very friendly and I could feel that they were geniun when they were assisting us.
The first room we got was on the third floor, very tiny, and we heard a horribly loud bang that was constant throughout the day! After complaining, They switched us to the second floor, the room was more spacious, however the bangs never did stop, we had to call them each time to stop this banging. I guess there was constructions going on which was very inconveniant for holiday makers. One time the banging lasted till 10 pm! Secondly, the tv always jammed and we had to call reception at least 5 times, u til they changed the receiver and it started to work properly.
Location can not be beat, literally a few min from the heart of the old city. A very clean, modern hotel with all the necessary amenities. Single room is not big and fairly basic, but since you don't spend much time in your hotel room when you are in Istanbul, it's totally fine (and it's clean). The staff were excellent - Cem at front desk was wonderful and so helpful; also the breakfast chef who also helped with luggage (sorry forgot his name...) It's also good value for money, esp. Considering the location
Occasionally at night you can hear people talking on the street since I was on a low floor and facing the street. But generally, it's a quiet street
quite poor breakfast (1 type of bread, 1 type of quite disgusting-looking ham etc.) and no coffee/tea making facilites in the room
Location is very good and good value for money. The staff is very caring and helpful. Buffet breakfast is available. All rooms are very clean and maintained.
